BRASS

Brass is not a metal but an alloy of two metals: copper and zinc. It is gold in appearance with low friction. Uses: locks, zippers, gears, bearings, valves, doorknobs, ammunition, plumbing parts and electrical applications, musical instruments such as trombone, tuba, trumpet, cornet, harmonica, euphonium, tenor horn, French horn, saxophone and organ pipes - due to its acoustic properties. Ninety percent of all brass alloys are recycled. It is a magnetic metal. There are many different types of brass alloys.
